PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of operation noise by quickly eliminating a gap, which is generated after a lash adjuster is installed between an armature and valve element. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic drive valve comprises a valve element 12, an armature shaft 42, a lash adjuster 40, a gap detection means 90 which detects a gap generated, driving force increasing means 92, 93. The armature shaft 42 is drawn to an electromagnet to drive the valve element. The lash adjuster 40 is installed between the valve element 12 and the armature shaft 42 and is capable of extending, in such a direction that a gap generated therebetween is eliminated. The drive force increasing means 92, 93 increase extending of the drive force for the lash adjuster, when the gap is detected.
