PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake resistant reinforced building which is capa ble of effectively transmitting the forces between steel frames to be newly installed for earthquake resistant reinforcement and an existing structure and demonstrating the sufficient earthquake resistant effect. SOLUTION: An earthquake resistant reinforced building comprises an existing structure having at least a structure comprising a plurality of columns 1 and hanging slabs 3, steel frames 4 attached to the periphery of existing structure, an axial force transmission plate 6 to connect the columns 1 to the steel frames 4, and a horizontal transmission plate 5 to connect the hanging slabs 3 to the steel frames 4.
