PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform automatic operation ranging from a feed of a work to an outside diameter grinding process and recovery of a ground work and to perform the outside diameter grinding process with high precision. SOLUTION: This device comprises a two-center cylinder grinding machine 30; a lathe dog opening closing device 20 consisting of a snap type lathe dog and a lathe dog opening closing device 23 moving forward and backward toward and from a lathe dog placed on a lathe dog placing part 21; and a work operating device 10 provided with two grippers 15a and 15b resiprocatively movable between a lathe dog opening closing device 20 and a two-center cylinder grinding machine 30. Operation to remove a work with a lath dog, grinding of which is completed, from the two-center cylinder grinding machine 30 by one gripper in the position of the two-center cylinder grinding machine 30 and operation to remove a ground work from the lathe dog by one gripper, and hold an unmachined work and mount the work on the lathe dog, from which the machined work is removed, by the other gripper in the position of the lathe dog opening closing device 20.
