PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for truing-up side edge which has a simple structure, and is capable of attaining truing-up side edge positively and positioning in the cross direction of a sheet body as reference to the center of the sheet body. SOLUTION: This device 140 for truing-up of side edge is provided with a pair of rollers 130, 132 disposed along a plate 138 and opened/closed flexibly, a pawl 134 for truing-up of side edge which is disposed between a pair of rollers 130, 132 and pushes a recording sheet toward the center in the cross direction thereof, and a displacing mechanism displacing the pawl 134 for truing-up side edge. The displacing mechanism consists of a rack 190 mounted on members 188a, 188b for truing-up side edge movable in the cross direction of the recording sheet and a pinion 184 engaged with the rack 190 and rotated by a motor 182a, and the pawl 134 for truing-up side edge is fixed on the members 188a, 188b for truing-up side edge.
