PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the traveling noise by a tread and optimize the riding comfortableness by dividing the tread into grids of cells, dividing each of the contact areas of the tread into longitudinal and cross sectional strips, and specifying the direction of piles of filled cells and empty cells. SOLUTION: A tread is divided into a three-dimensional grid consisting of filled cells 23 and empty cells 24, and cell piles 123-125 are specified in the grid. Each of contact areas of the tread is divided into longitudinal and lateral strips 27, 28 consisting of cell piles, and each strip 27, 28 is set so as to have prescribed lateral and longitudinal dimensions. Further, the number of piles 123 of continuous charged cells in which the boundary is set by two cell piles consisting of the partially filled pile 125 or the empty pile 124 is counted, and the cell piles 124 and 125 are set so that one is in the front to the pile 123 within each strip 27, 28, and the other in the rear.
