摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the safety of a hybrid automobile which drives wheels through the switching or cooperation of a plurality of power sources and which mounts a low-voltage battery that has no fear of electric shock. SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises a motor-driven compressor 21, an inverter device 23a for converting a voltage output from a battery 15 which outputs a voltage of 36 V into the desired value for supply to the motor-driven compressor 21, and an air-conditioner controller 25 for controlling the inverter device 23a. The sealed container 21b of the motor-driven compressor and the anode of a power battery 15 are grounded and a current detection circuit 35 is provided between the cathode of the power battery 15 and the power terminal of the motor-driven compressor 21. The control part 33 of the inverter device 23a controls the operation of a dc/ac converter circuit 31 so that when the current detected by the current detection circuit 35 exceeds a predetermined value, the current flowing into the motor-driven compressor 21 is limited.
