PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower unit of a vehicular air conditioner such that the space occupied exclusively by the blower unit can be reduced and filter replacement work can be facilitated. SOLUTION: A brushless motor is employed as a fan motor 7 and the rotating shaft of the fan motor 7 is disposed approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction of a vehicle. As a result, the dimension W of a blower unit 1 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle can be reduced. An opening 12 for installing and removing a filter 9 is provided in the lower surface 14 of an intake box 8. As a result, a cover 13 can be removed without removal of vehicle parts 4 such as an instrument panel 3 and a glove box.
