PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an excellent uneven feeling to a material and, at the same time, facilitate change of an uneven pattern or the like by a method wherein a pattern layer and an infiltration controlling layer against paint are laminated in no definite order, onto which transparent projected parts in synchronous with the pattern of the pattern layer are laminated and, further a transparent resin layer is laminated over the whole surface including the projected part. SOLUTION: Onto a base material 1, an infiltration controlling layer 2, which controls the infiltration of a paint, is laminated so as to laminate a uniformly colored layer 3 and a pattern layer 4 in the order named on the layer 2. On the pattern layer 4, projected parts 5 in synchronous with the pattern of the pattern layer 4 are laminated and, after that, a transparent resin layer 6 is laminated so as to cover the whole surface including the projected parts 5 in order to produce a decorative material. In the surface of the transparent resin layer of the decorative material, projected parts 7 and recessed parts 8 are formed in response to the absence and presence of the projected parts 5 below the layer 6. As the concrete example of the base material 1, various papers, a non-woven fabric, plastic film, plastic sheet or the like is employed. The uniformly colored layer 3 and the pattern layer 4 are formed by printing. In this case, the preferable printing system is a gravure printing system due to the wide reproducing range of gradation or the like.
