PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mixture of colors of inks or unbalanced abutment of a nozzle section against an absorption body in terms of an ink jet recorder capable of multi-color printing. SOLUTION: This ink jet recorder 100 comprises an ink jet recording head 1 having nozzle sections 1b, 1c, 1d for plural colors and a cap 2 for covering the nozzle sections. The cap 2 executes conservation during the non-using time of the nozzle sections 1b, 1c, 1d for the colors and executes discharging of the ink during the using time of the nozzle sections 1b, 1c, 1d. The cap 2 comprises a plurality of absorption bodies 3A, 3B, 3C for absorbing inks on the nozzle sections 1b, 1c, 1d for the colors and a housing section 24 for housing the plurality of absorption bodies 3A, 3B, 3C. Each of the absorption bodies 3A, 3B, 3C is provided corresponding to the nozzle sections 1b, 1c, 1d for the colors, respectively. |
