PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative member formed of natural stone which can easily form an engagement part on a back side, being mounted on a wall, etc., and obtain a strong binding force to each other. SOLUTION: In a decorative member 1 formed of natural stone having a face surface and a back surface, a wedge-like upper engagement projection 4 extending at an acute angleβwith the surface as the reference, and a wedge- like lower engagement projection 5 extending at an acute angleα(α>β) are formed on an upper portion of the back surface, and a lower portion of the back surface, respectively. An upper engagement stepped portion 2 and a lower engagement stepped portion 3 to be engaged with the upper engagement stepped portion 2 are formed on the upper side of the surface and the lower side of the back surface, respectively. The upper engagement projection 4 of the decorative member 1 is inserted in an engagement recessed portion 7 of substantially dowel shape formed in a wall, etc., diagonally from a lower part, and dropped to lock the lower engagement projection 5, and the decorative member 1 is mounted thereon. The upper engagement stepped portion 2 of the lower decorative member 1 is pressed by the lower engagement stepped portion 3 of the upper decorative member 1 to obtain the binding force to each other.
