PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-covered steel pipe having excellent wear resistance, scratch resistance, mechanical strength, and solvent resistance as well as having little occurrence of cracks. SOLUTION: This steel pipe is covered with a resin of an aromatic vinyl monomer/α-olefin random copolymer, or of preferably a blended resin of 5-95 pts.wt. of an aromatic vinyl monomer/α-olefin random copolymer and 95-5 pts.wt. of other highly polymeric compounds (the sum total of 100 pts.wt.). The random copolymer with a specific structure is advantageous; for example the one which prescribes an alternating structure index,λ, for the aromatic vinyl monomer and anα-olefin, the one which has the existence of sequences of the aromatic vinyl monomers, and the one which prescribes the stereoregularity of the aromatic groups in alternating sequences each can be suitably used.
