PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alter stand which can be disposed easily without generation of environmental problem by constructing it of a tray portion and a stand portion that are made of paper material and can be assembled easily, and forming the tray portion with a standing back plate formed integrally therewith. SOLUTION: This alter stand 1 consists of a stand portion 2 placed on an alter and a tray portion 3 supported by the stand 1. The whole body of the stand 1 is made of paper material that can be assembled easily. The stand portion 2 is assembled in an angular column shape with its upper part is slightly tapered narrow by bending a thin corrugated cardboard made of paper cut in a specified shape, in the angular column shape, and fitting an engaging piece at one of mating edges into an engaging hole at the other edge. At un upper surface of the stand portion 2, an interconnection piece with the tray portion 3 is formed. Simmilarly with the case of the stand portion, the tray portion 3 is assembled by bending a thin corrugated cardboard cut in a specified shape, into a rectangular tray shape, and a standing back plate is formed integrally with the tray portion 3 at the back side of the portion 3. Accordingly, the purpose is attained.
