PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a central cleaner good in its maneuverability having both functions for cleaning and cleaning air without requiring a hose exclusively used upon air cleaning operation. SOLUTION: An air cleaning means 14 is provided in a socket 8 itself provided in a piping part 6. The socket 8 is used as an air cleaner. When a hose 9 is not inserted into the socket, the socket can be used as the air cleaner. When the hose 9 is inserted into the socket, the socket 8 can be used as a cleaner. Therefore, two hoses are not switched to be detachably attached, nor a space and a suction force are decreased.
