PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate assembly of a bag main body compartment and an inflator compartment when they are separated from each other. SOLUTION: This device comprises an inflator compartment 22 and a bag main body compartment 25 separated from each other and fixedly interconnected by use of retainer bolts 31, 32 projecting in the form of an inverted V, respectively from the front and rear edges of a retainer 29 adapted for fixing a bag main body 24. Positioning of the retainer bolts 31, 32 in the cross direction of the vehicle is achieved by means of an oblong hole formed in at least one of the inflator compartment 22 and the bag main body compartment 25 and extending in the longitudinal direction 26 of the vehicle, and positioning of the retainer bolts 31, 32 in the longitudinal direction 26 of the vehicle and prevention of floating of the retainer 29 during tightening of a nut 35 are achieved by locking a notch with a pawl part 38 formed halfway between the retainer 29 and the bag main body compartment 25 along the longitudinal direction 26 of the vehicle. |
