PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liver lipid metabolism-improving agent which can improve the metabolism of liver lipids and prevent liver diseases without changing the usual dietary life, and to provide a food using the agent. SOLUTION: This liver lipid metabolism-improving agent is obtained by treating animal hearts with one or more enzymes and then concentrating the obtained heart peptide mixture containing a lipid metabolism-stimulating ingredient. The food having a liver lipid metabolism-improving effect contains the liver lipid metabolism-improving agent. The liver lipid metabolism-improving agent containing the heart peptide mixture obtained from the animal hearts and the food containing the agent can lower fats accumulated in livers to prevent liver diseases.
