摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine stall, resulting from undershoot of engine revolution, even when a vehicle decelerates abruptly during fuel cut control. SOLUTION: An ABS computer 52 obtains a depressed amount and a depression speed of a brake pedal 48 from a brake pedal sensor 50 and detects an abrupt deceleration of a vehicle. When the abrupt deceleration of the vehicle is detected during fuel cut control by the ABS computer 52, an ECU 32 directs compulsory return from the fuel cut control, cuts a lock-up clutch 18, and resumes fuel injection into an engine 10. As a result, revolutions of the engine 10 is recovered, and engine stall can be prevented.</p>
