PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key with built-in electronic parts which is hard to be taken out and leaves a trace even when it is taken out. SOLUTION: This electronic key 1 is provided with a case 2, a substrate 3, a holder 4, a transponder 5, and a cover 6. The substrate 3 is disposed in a container recess 12 for the substrate, and the holder 4 having the transponder 5 is disposed in a container recess 13 for the holder. The cover 6 is disposed near to the opening 11 side from the substrate 3. The fitting projection 35 of the holder 4 is pressed in the press-in part 14. The holder 4 is loose fitted in a fitting groove 33 with relation to the fitting part 24 of the substrate 3, and also loose fitted in a groove 34 to be pressed-in with relation to the press-in part 23. Both the substrate 3 and the holder 4 are inserted from the opening 11 and the press-in part 23 presses the face 34a to be pressed of the groove 34 to be pressed-in to fit it to each recess 13, 12. Thereafter, when the substrate 3 is drawn out, the substrate 3 is separated from the holder 4 and the holder 4 is left in the case.
