CORE-SHEATH TYPE LONG AND SHORT COMPOSITE SPUN YARN AND FABRIC USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a core-sheath type long and short composite spun yarn capable of stably supplying a material for protective clothes such as clothes for sports, heat-resistant working wear or a fireman uniform capable of sufficiently exhibiting functions such as heat resistance or incised wound resistance in the fireman uniform or the high-temperature working wear worn at the time of operations exposed to a flame or a high temperature due to the functional characteristics such as the incised wound resistance or heat resistance fulfilled by a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber which is a sheath component and shape retaining properties such as tailoring attractiveness, pleat retention properties or crease resistance fulfilled by a polyester fiber which is a core component and having the shape retaining properties such as the tailoring attractiveness, pleat retention properties or crease resistance and further aesthetic properties in combination and the fabric using the composite spun yarn. SOLUTION: The characteristic of this core-sheath type long and short composite spun yarn comprises a sheath component composed of 50-90 wt.% of a wholly aromatic polyamide staple fiber and a core component composed of 10-50 wt.% of a polyester filament yarn at the ratio of the polyester fiber accounting for 10-35 wt.% of the composite yarn.
