PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform polishing without being influenced by the shape of a polisher. SOLUTION: This polishing device polishes the spherical shape and the non- spherical shape of a work 6 as a polishing device is caused to copy the shapes. In this case, the polishing device 9 comprises a spindle 20 rotated with the polisher mounted on a shaft tip; an arm 11 rockably supporting the spindle 20 around a pivot 12; a weight 13 situated at an arm 11 and regulating a distance relative to the pivot 12; and a support mechanism to support the polisher 9 displaceably in the direction of the rotary axis of the polisher 9. This constitution performs polishing as the rotary axis direction of the polisher 9 is displaced in the direction of the rotary axis of the polisher 9 interlocking with vertical displacement of the polisher 9.
