PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack device which allows expansion of an effective area within a showcase having freely drawable racks by increasing the interval between the racks. SOLUTION: This device applies to a showcase in which a longitudinally movable rack 3 is extended between each pair of right and left brackets 28 via slide rails 29. In that case, a connecting member 31 located beneath the rack 3 and extending between the right and left brackets 28 is provided and the connecting plate 30 of the connecting member 31 comprises upstanding walls formed on both sides and standing in approximately perpendicular directions and an upper wall interconnecting the upstanding walls.
