PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an aqueous glossy coating material composition capable of forming durable coating film owing to the cross linking reactivity of a binder and capable of improving glossiness of formed coating film. SOLUTION: The binder of this aqueous glossy coating material composition has two or more kinds of cross linking reactivity at least one of which is based on cross linking reaction of a carboxylic group with a metallic compound. The aqueous glossy coating material composition has <=30% pigment volume concentration and >=60% gel fraction of formed coating film.
