PURPOSE:To obtain the title ink useful for high speed recording, etc., having excellent blotting, drying properties and grab, comprising water, colorant and fixing agent, by dispersing resin particles as the fixing agent in a dispersion medium into a cationic emulsion. CONSTITUTION:Water (preferably distilled pure water) and optionally a water-soluble organic solvent (e.g. diethylene glycol), preferably 0.5-10wt.% colorant (e.g. dye) and preferably 3-20wt.% fixing agent (e.g. polyacrylate) are dispersed in a dispersion medium into a cationic emulsion. The emulsion has preferably <=1mum average particle diameter and <=20cp viscosity at 20wt.% concentration of solid content. |
