LCD AND ITS FABRICATION METHOD

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are to improve a display characteristic of the liquid crystal display by altering a layout of a capacitor without installing a separate shading film. CONSTITUTION: Many wiring are arranged in a constant interval and are vertically extended. Many gate wiring are arranged in a constant interval and are horizontally extended to cross over the data wiring. A transparent pixel electrode(4) is formed in each region defined by a pair of data wiring and a pair of gate wiring. A switching element is formed each corner of the region to transfer a display signal to each transparent pixel electrode. A storage capacitor electrode(10) is interposed between a portion of each transparent electrode and an insulating layer(2). Each gate wiring includes the first gate wiring formed on a lower portion of each switching element and connected to each other by the storage capacitor electrode and the storage switching element, and the second gate wiring formed in parallel to the first gate wiring and connected to the first gate wiring.
