PURPOSE: A dielectric filter is provided to easily perform a grinding process for making a tapered trim portion having a predetermined capacitance value by forming a plurality of resonance holes and a depressed portion at a surface of a dielectric substance body. CONSTITUTION: The dielectric filter comprises a dielectric substance body(110) and a conductive coating(130) applied onto the surface of the dielectric substance body(110). The dielectric substance body(110) includes a plurality of resonance holes(120) therein and generates an electric polarization due to the electric field. An ellipse shape of depressed portion(140) is formed at the surface of the dielectric substance body(110). Upper openings of the resonance holes(120) are positioned within the depressed portion(140). A trim portion(150) having a predetermined capacitance value is formed at the resonance holes(120) by grinding a corner surface of the resonance holes(120), respectively.
