摘要 PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to optimize color temperature with ensuring reproducibility of gradation and stability of driving. CONSTITUTION: In an AC-discharge color plasma display panel including a pair of substrate structures, each main electrode(X,Y) intersects each address electrode at a pixel. The main electrodes(X,Y), each of which has a transparent layer(41) and a metallic layer(42), are arranged under a front substrate, and the address electrodes are arranged on a rear substrate. Additionally, the address electrodes are covered with a dielectric layer, and partition walls(29) are formed on the dielectric layer to define a pixel matrix array(R,G,B) in which discharge cells(C) of red(R), green(G) and blue(B) are grouped to constitute a pixel. In particular, each transparent layer(41) of the main electrode(X,Y) has an uneven width so that a distance(d2) between two adjacent layers(41) in the blue cells(B) may be greater than a distance(d1) in the other cells(R,G). Accordingly, an effective area of the main electrode(X,Y) becomes greater in the blue cells(B) than the other cells(R,G). Besides, a thickness of the dielectric layer, a relative dielectric constant of the dielectric layer, or a light-shielding area may become different among the cells.
