PURPOSE: An electrochromic display and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to accelerate the operation of the electrochromic display device as well as to maximize the interaction area. CONSTITUTION: An electrochromic display device includes a first and a second glass substrates, a first and a second transparent electrodes(2,5), a porous chromic material, and an electrolyte layer(4). The first and a second glass substrates are formed so as to face with a predetermined spacing. The first and the second transparent electrodes(2,5) are formed on the first and the second glass substrates, respectively. The porous chromic material is formed on the surface of the first transparent electrode. The electrolyte layer(4) is accumulated in the spacing between the porous chromic material and the second transparent electrode. The porous chromic material is in a liquid state.
