PURPOSE: A voltage controller for a generator of an automobile which can control overcharge and over-discharge of a battery is provided. CONSTITUTION: A voltage controller for a generator of an automobile includes: means(100) for sensing charging and discharging currents of a battery(120); a switching device(110) for cutting off the discharge of the battery; a capacitor(C) connected in parallel to a load for rectifying a current which is provided from the batter to the load according to the switching device; an A/D converter(211) for converting overcharge or over-discharge current from the battery into a digital signal; a micro controller(210) for generating a control signal of the switching device and a PWM signal based on the digital signal; and a rotor current switching part for switching a current flowing rotor coil, such that the overcharge and over-discharge of the battery is controlled.
