PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the direction of the wind of an air conditioner is provided to reduce the troubles, to improve efficiency of assembly and to reduce the manufacturing cost by directly transmitting rotation force generated by driving a motor to a horizontal louver without any additional power transmission device. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for controlling the direction of the wind of an air conditioner, a plurality of horizontal louvers(52) are horizontally mounted in a front air discharge hole(51) of the air conditioner, a motor(53) has a rotary shaft connected to a turning center of one of the horizontal louvers to rotate the horizontal louver(52'), and a linker(54) connects inner ends of the horizontal louvers each other to actuate all of the horizontal louvers in association, wherein the horizontal louvers rotates depending on the rotation of the motor to adjust the direction of the air discharge vertically.
