PURPOSE: An accumulator is provided to accomplish an improved performance of a compressor while perfectly preventing a coolant at a liquid state from being flowed into the compressor, and reduced size of accumulator while eliminating the necessity of increasing the size of accumulator for preventing inflow of a coolant. CONSTITUTION: An accumulator comprises a gas discharge pipe(55) for conveying a gaseous coolant existing at an inner upper portion of a case of the accumulator to a compressor(60) side, a liquid discharge pipe(57) for conveying a liquid coolant and oil existing at an inner lower portion of the case, and a heating member(58) for heating the liquid coolant being conveyed through the liquid discharge pipe(57) so as to change the liquid coolant into a gaseous coolant and supplying the gaseous coolant to the compressor(60).
