PURPOSE: An optical pickup system is provided to improve performance of an optical pickup by accessing data with different kinds of laser beams and correcting As(astigmatism). CONSTITUTION: A DBSPM(Dichroic Beam Splitter Plate Mirror,18) is positioned between a first and a second HPM(Hologram Pickup module,12,14) and an objective lens(24) to change a path of laser beams vertically. A HOE-DBSP(Hologram Optical Elements-DBSP,16) transmits/reflects the laser beams depending on waves of the laser beams. A collimating lens(20) travels the laser beams parallel. A CSF(Color Separated Filter,22) controls linear velocity of the laser beams depending on the waves. The DBSPM reflects second laser beams of the second HPM vertically from the upper face and first laser beams of the first HPM vertically from the lower face. The DBSP transmits the first laser beams and reflects the second beams. The DBSP reflects/transmits the laser beams selectively depending on the waves for a CD(Compact Disk) or a DVD(Digital Versatile Disk). Therefore, manufacturing cost is reduced and an assembling process is simplified.
