PURPOSE: A method for delivering a contracted message and holding a call of a cellular phone, is provided that a transmitter understands a status of a receiver by transmitting a message for call block to the transmitter, simultaneously executing a call holding function, when the receiver is in trouble of talking or busy line. CONSTITUTION: A method for delivering a contracted message and holding a call of a cellular phone, comprises the steps of: if a call is inputted to the cellular phone, deciding whether a folder is opened or a receive-key is selected; if the call is connected, deciding whether a special call function is selected; if the special call function, deciding whether a temporary call holding mode is selected; if the temporary call holding mode, executing a temporary call holding sub routine and finishing the call via a normal call procedure, and if not, deciding whether a call refusing mode is selected; if the call refusing mode, executing a call refusal sub routine and finishing the call, and if not, deciding whether the special call function is selected; and if not the special call function, executing a normal speech, and if an emergent message transmission function in a busy line is selected, executing an emergent message transmission sub routine and finishing the call.
