PURPOSE: An optical connector is provided to reduce the manufacturing cost of the optical connector by employing a first holder, a second holder, a plug, and an adapter which are manufactured by the molding. CONSTITUTION: An optical connector comprises a first holder(20) in which at least one optical device(22) is installed, a second holder(40), a plug(50), an adapter(30), an engaging means, a pressing means, and a guide means. At least one optical fiber is supported by the second holder(40). The plug(50) movably supports the second holder(40). The adapter(30) is engaged with the first holder(20), the second holder(40), and the plug(50). The engaging means engages the adapter(40) with the plug(50). The pressing means presses the second holder(40) towards the adapter(30).
