PURPOSE: A trip circuit detector is provided to prevent wide area power failure accidents by enabling the abnormal states of the trap coil of a breaker to be monitored by a control system(SCADA) for twenty-four hours. CONSTITUTION: A detection and amplification unit(20) detects an abnormal state occurrence in a trip coil connected between an auxiliary contact of a breaker and an electric contact of a protection system, amplifies the detected signal, and detects the state of an operational voltage application of the breaker to the trip coil. An upper and lower setting unit(30) variably sets upper and lower resistance values of the trip coil. An AC/DC converting and central processing unit(40) converts the output of the detection and amplification unit(20) into a digital signal and outputs an abnormal state signal or a normal state signal.
