PURPOSE: A tail stock having improvement of supporting force for input shaft is provided to prevent a supporting force transmitted to a tail stock during work of an input shaft from lowering or to prevent occurrence of unsafety accident owing to interruption of air supply. CONSTITUTION: A tail stock having improvement of supporting force for input shaft, which includes a X-axis bed(10); a table(12) mounted on the bed(12); a tail stock body(14) fixed on a desired portion of the table(12) by a clamp; a sleeve(28) having a center(30) for centering the work piece, which is horizontally inserted into an upper portion of the tail stock body(14); and a press adjustor(36) mounted on a rear side of a spring(42) inserted into the sleeve(28) to press the spring(42) and to push the sleeve(28), the tail stock comprises a cylinder space(18) formed on a lower side of the sleeve(28); a bush(20) inserted and mounted into the cylinder space(18); a piston(16) inserted and mounted into the bush(20), of which outer periphery is inserted with a spring(22); a cover(26) fixed on a rear side of the piston(16) so as to prevent the piston from breaking away; a locking nut(24) engaged to a distal end of the piston(16). Accordingly, the tail stock provides the following effects: The supporting force for a work piece is reinforced; any unsafety accident caused by breaking away of the work piece toward the outside is prevented; productivity is improved, since working process is smoothly performed; and accuracy of the products is improved and, thus, reliability becomes to be superior.
