PURPOSE: A maintaining device of refrigerant amount of air conditioner is provided to regularly maintain refrigerant pressure circulating in an air conditioner system for operating the air conditioner in an optimal state by outlet of refrigerant in case refrigerant pressure is lacking while in case pressure is big, the refrigerant is allowed in. CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensor(10) senses pressure of refrigerant and a subsidiary refrigerant storage tube(50) stores refrigerant for compensation. An opening valve(34a) is arranged in a connecting portion between a pipe(P) and the subsidiary refrigerant storage tube(50). A valve drive unit opens and closes the opening valve(34a) while a piston(43a) is disposed to be reciprocal, mounted on the subsidiary refrigerant storage tube for advancing and backing up by a piston drive unit based upon a signal input. And according to refrigerant pressure sensed by the pressure sensor(10), an electronic control unit(20) lets in or out refrigerant into the subsidiary refrigerant storage pipe(50) by controlling the piston drive unit. In case refrigerant pressure is bigger or smaller than a reference value, the refrigerant is flowed in or out into the circulating pipe for constantly maintaining the reference value.
