The invention relates to the mechanical engineering, particularly to the composition and a method for making thermo-barrier coatings on the elements of apparatuses (particularly those used in gas turbine engines) which are used at elevated temperatures, corrosion and erosion. The article of super-alloy has a layer of aluminum oxide, cordwood layer of ceramic material coupled therewith, and forming thermo-barrier coatings on the layer of aluminum oxide. At that a layer of surface coating is applied on the thermo-barrier coating. A method for producing the piece of super-alloy comprises forming the aluminum oxide layer and applying the cordwood layer of ceramic material forming a thermo-barrier coating on the aluminum oxide layer. The surface of thermo-barrier coating is prepared for applying the surface coating, providing previously established roughness of surface, withdrawal of fragments and foreign admixtures from the surface. Thereafter, a layer of surface coating being applied on the thermo-barrier coating, so as to cover the cordwood ceramic coating and spaces between adjacent cordwood grains and form a continuous surface coating on the thermo-barrier coating. The invention provides for increasing the life time of articles from super-alloy. |
