PURPOSE: A locking device of a tray is provided to reduce power consumption by ejecting a tray smoothly. CONSTITUTION: A tray(11) moves a disk or a cartridge to a loading position by moving rectilinearly in a disk driver with a drive force of a loading motor(16). The tray has a rack(11b) for guiding a rectilinear motion. The rack moves rectilinearly following rotation of an arm gear(12) to guide the tray. A mechanism base(13) includes a loading mechanism for moving the tray rectilinearly in a loading or an ejecting direction by delivering the drive force of the loading motor sequentially. The loading mechanism consists of the loading motor for supplying power, an intermediate gear(17) for relaying the power, and a cam slider(14) moving rectilinearly in a loading and an ejecting process. The cam slider has a cam(14a) for fixing the tray with a tray holder(15) by guiding rotation of the tray holder. The tray is ejected smoothly, therefore, power consumption is reduced.
