PURPOSE: An adjusting device for the height of a large size vehicle is provided to control the supply and the discharge of compressed air to an air spring depending on the change of a vehicle load. CONSTITUTION: A height adjusting device for a large size vehicle comprises an air spring(6) installed between a leaf spring(3) and a main frame(1); a supply pipe(6A) connecting an air tank(14) and the air spring; a supply solenoid valve(7A) controlling the supply of compressed air to the air spring on the supply pipe; a discharge solenoid valve(7B) controlling the discharge of compressed air to the air spring on a branched discharge pipe(6B); an ECU(electronic control unit)(8) selectively controlling two solenoid valves to adjust the height of the vehicle; an operating lever(10) vertically rotated by a vehicle load; an upper switch(9A) informing the ECU that the vehicle height is lowered with a heavy load; a lower switch(9B) informing the ECU that the vehicle height is increased with a small load. The air spring is shrunk depending on which switch and the vehicle height is automatically adjusted. Thus, the vehicle height is always kept regular by supplying or discharging compressed air depending on the state of the vehicle load.
