PURPOSE: A water separator is provided to achieve a high reliability for separator apparatus and a separation efficiency while arranging a plaid layer at an interstitial inlet of each pocket so as to prevent the water contained in the pocket from flowing back to a flow channel. CONSTITUTION: A water separator for separating water from air current flowing into a flow channel, comprises plural conversion members(9) arranged at regular spacings and which convert direction of air current. The air current is a compressing and cooling charging air flowed into an internal combustion engine. The conversion members(9) have at least one pocket(11), respectively, and the pocket(11) into which water flows through an interstitial inlet(12). The pocket(11) has at a lower portion thereof at least one water outlet(14). The interstitial inlet(12) of each pocket(11) has at a lower portion thereof at least one plaid layer.
