PURPOSE: An apparatus for polishing slot groove of input shaft is provided to polish a width of a groove of an input shaft which is a major part in a pinion valve of a steering device, so that accuracy is improved, quality of the input shaft is to be superior, and productivity is improved. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for polishing slot groove of input shaft comprises a frame assembly(10); a X-Y feed assembly(16) mounted on an upper portion of the frame assembly(10), which moves on X-Y axes; an index assembly(20) mounted on a left upper portion of the X-Y feed assembly(16), which supports a work piece; a tail stock(22) for centering a center of the work piece, which is mounted oppositely to the index assembly(20); a Z-axis feed assembly(24) mounted to intersect perpendicularly to the tail stock(22) so as to be movable toward a X-axis, of which one end is provided with a polishing tool(28); and a spindle assembly(26) mounted on the overall of the Z-axis feed assembly(24) to operate the polishing tool(28).
