PURPOSE: A radio frequency(RF) device for a base station of a wireless local loop(WLL) system is provided to simplify switching operations of a 3P4T switch to efficiently manage switching paths of RF/intermediate frequency(IF) signals, by making a RF control card(RFC) directly control the switching operations of the 3P4T switch in a distribute unit(DISU). CONSTITUTION: A radio frequency(RF) device for a base station of a wireless local loop(WLL) system, comprises many receive front-end units(RXFUs)(11-1-11-6), a distribute unit(DISU), an RF control card(RFC)(13), many down converter cards(DCCs)(14-1-14-4), many up converter cards(UCCs)(15-1-15-4), many high power amplifiers(HPAs)(16-1-16-4), and transmit front-end units(TXFUs)(17-1-17-3). The RXFUs receive RF signals transmitted from a radio port controller(RPC) of the WLL system through a receiving antenna. The DISU is composed of four 3P4T switches(12-1,12-2,12-4,12-5), a 3P4T switch(12-6), and a 3P4T switch(12-3). The 3P4T switches switch the RF signals to output the signals to the DCCs, and switch intermediate frequency(IF) signals of the DCCs to output the IF signals to an analog common/sector interface unit(ACSU). The 3P4T switch(12-6) outputs the IF signals to the UCCs according to a switching signal of a RF control card(RFC). The 3P4T switch(12-3) outputs RF signals of the HPAs to the TXFUs. The RFC outputs switching signals to the six 3P4T switches. The DCCs perform down converting processes for frequencies of the RF signals into IF signals. The UCCs perform up converting processes for frequencies of the IF signals of the 3P4T switches into RF signals. The HPAs amplify the RF signals of the UCCs with high power. The TXFUs radiate the amplified RF signals to the RPC.
