PURPOSE: A voltage control oscillator is provided to simultaneously detect a positive peak value and negative peak value of an input signal for improving accuracy of detection. CONSTITUTION: A voltage control oscillator comprises a detection circuit(10), a comparison circuit(20) and an LC resonance circuit(40). The detection circuit detects positive peak values and negative values of complementary first and second input signals and converts the differences between the peak values into DC levels to generate a detection signal. The comparison circuit compares the detection signal with the DC level of a reference signal to generate a comparison signal. The LC resonance circuit generates an oscillation signal in response to the comparison signal. The detection circuit has a first peak detection part for detecting the positive peak values of the first and second input signals, a second peak detection part for detecting the negative peak values of the first and second input signals, and an output part for outputting the differences between the positive peak values and negative peak values.
