PURPOSE: An alarm method for abnormalcy of wheel sensor is provided to achieve a prevention against an erroneous sensing operation of a wheel sensor in a slippery road by increasing the time period for sensing the abnormalcy of wheel sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises: a first step of judging whether the current vehicle speed is within a reference speed range, a second step of sensing the speed of each wheel, calculating an average speed of the wheel having the highest speed during a predetermined time period, and setting the average speed as a current speed if the current vehicle speed is judged as being within a reference speed range, a third step of increasing/decreasing a count value in accordance with the current speed set after the second step and a previous speed, a fourth step of judging whether the increased/decreased count value is higher than a reference value if the vehicle speed after the third step exceeds an upper limit of the reference speed range, and a fifth step of increasing time period for judging an abnormalcy of wheel sensor if the count value is judged as exceeding the reference value in the fourth step, and giving an alarm for the abnormalcy of the wheel sensor if any wheel has zero speed value during the increased time period for judging an abnormalcy of the wheel sensor.
