PURPOSE: A shading correction circuit is provided to maintain the brightness of the entire screen by adding R, G and B output signals with a shading correction pulse. CONSTITUTION: An R/G/B demodulation block(31) demodulates R, G and B signals in a video signal and outputs -R, -G and -B signals. A pulse generation block(32) receives horizontal and vertical blanking signals separated from the video signal and generates a shading correction pulse. Adders(33,34,35) add the R, G and B signals of the R/G/B demodulation block(31) with a shading correction pulse of the pulse generation block(32) and outputs the result. Finally shading-corrected -R', -G' and -B' signals are output from the adders(33,34,35).
