PURPOSE: A detecting method of an unbalance in a washing tub is provided to dehydrate by easily detecting the unbalance of the washing tub with pulses through a photo coupler. CONSTITUTION: In finishing a washing process and a rinsing process, a dehydrating process is started. A detection of an unbalance signal is checked. Without detecting the unbalance signal, a normal dehydration is performed. In detecting the unbalance signal, the unbalance signal is counted. The normal dehydration is performed when the counted signal is over a predetermined signal. Otherwise, the dehydration is stopped. The laundry is dispersed by supplying water again, rotating a pulsator and draining the water. The dehydration is performed again. The normal dehydration is performed by detecting the unbalance of a washing tub.
