PURPOSE: A high output induction heat cooker is provided to easily output a power suitable to a property of a vessel by detecting a current flowing through a diode. CONSTITUTION: A rectifier(10) rectifies an alternating current voltage and outputs a rectified direct current voltage. A filter(11) filters the rectified direct current voltage from the rectifier(10). An inverter(12) receives the filtered voltage from the filter(11) and provides a resonant voltage. A heating coil(Lr) induces and heats a wirling current to a cooking vessel(17). Resonant capacitors(Cr1,Cr2) resonates with the heating coil(Lr). An input current detector(13) detects an input current. A diode conducting current detector(20) detects a conducting current flowing through a diode of the inverter(12). A controller(14) controls the conducting current flowing the diode to operate from a smallest set value to a largest set value. A switching frequency generator(15) generates a switching frequency according to a control signal from the controller(14). A driver(16) generates a driving signal according to a switching frequency of the switching frequency generator(15).
