PURPOSE: An assembling device for a ladder is provided to enhance productivity by mechanizing a process for inserting a footstep into the right and the left side plate of the ladder and a process for compressing the footstep and the ladder, and to increase stability by automating a transferring process. CONSTITUTION: A ladder assembling device is divided into a device for inserting a footstep(1) into a side plate(3) of a ladder and a device for compressing a non-protruded portion(103) of the ladder. The footstep inserting device contains a footstep hanger(2) and movable stands(10,10') moved by cylinders(11,12,13,14) in both sides of the footstep inserting device. A non-protruded portion compressing device contains a footstep hanger and movable stands(40) moved by cylinders(70,71,72,73) in both sides of the non-protruded portion compressing device. A compression adjusting equipment(90) and a clamping equipment(80) are installed in the movable stands(40). Herein, the compression adjusting equipment adjusts compressing force and the clamping equipment prevents the footstep from being bent. Further, a transferring device is included in the ladder assembling device for transferring the footstep combined with the side plate of the ladder to the non-protruded portion compressing device.
