PURPOSE: A video data recording circuit of a VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) is provided to make a drum receive the highest transfer velocity of data by forming a formatter having divided memory areas and to output constant velocity of recording data by repeating input/output of data alternately. CONSTITUTION: A memory initializer(1) outputs an initialization address(IAdd), initialization data(ID1) and a control signal(ICTL) to a record-on signal(REC/ON). A write address generator(2) outputs a write address(WAdd) according to a transfer clock(TCK). A read address generator(3) outputs a read address(RAdd) according to a read clock(RCK). A data delayer(5) delays transfer data(TDi). A multiplexer controller toggles a control signal(MCTL). A three-phase multiplexer(6) outputs the output of the read address generator with the output of the write address generator and the data delayer. Memories(7,8) are initialized by the output of the multiplexer to output the transfer data. A multiplexer(9) outputs recording data having a synchronizing signal and ID(Identification) by selecting data(D1,D2) of the memories alternately. Insufficient data having a lower speed than the highest data transfer speed are processed in an additional data unit. Therefore, the data are recorded with various transfer velocity.
