PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the speed of revolution of an AC generator for vehicles is provided which easily detects the number of revolutions of the generator without errors using signals induced from the stator of the generator when the generator revolves. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for detecting the speed of revolution of an AC generator for vehicles, a signal detector(1) detects an AC signal induced from the stator of the generator when the generator revolves, and a signal converter(2) converts the signal detected by the signal detector into a voltage form. A revolution speed converter(3) converts the voltage form converted by the signal converter into a speed of revolution, and an output part(4) outputs the speed of revolution as a digital signal.
