PURPOSE: A moisturizing cosmetics composition is provided, containing beta-1,6-branched-beta-1,3-glucan. CONSTITUTION: A moisturizing cosmetics composition comprises 0.1-10 wt% of beta-1,6-branched-beta-1,3-glucan (SC-glucan) which is prepared by liquid culture of Schizophyllum commune Fr.; and optionally 0.1-10 wt% of hyaruronic acid. The molecular weight of the SC-glucan which is prepared by liquid culture of Schizophyllum commune Fr. is 2,000,000-5,000,000. The composition is prepared in the form of cream foundation, liquid foundation, solid foundation, make-up lotion, emollient cream, moisturizing cream and skin lotion.
